A Brief
History of Our Company
In 1942, Chuck
Robinson started Robinson Catering to fill a need for worry-free,
hassle-free, social and corporate functions for Kansas Citians. Robinson
Catering soon became an integral part of Kansas City and Chuck’s name became
synonymous with great food and good times.
People would come to
a celebration catered by Chuck because they knew it would be an event to
remember. Chuck was equally at ease with weddings, corporate events and
small “get-togethers.” Throughout the 1960’s he handled the preparations and
food for family picnics on the grounds of the old Fairyland Amusement Park,
where groups would meet to socialize, enjoy good food and play at the
carnival booths and park rides. That is where the Brancato family met him.
In 1968, Nate
Brancato purchased the company from the Robinson family. Nate had worked
with Chuck for many years. and knew the personalized care and service Chuck
put into every job. He was determined to maintain and build on Chuck’s
philosophy of quality service and good food.
Since 1980, the
younger generation of Brancatos, Mario and Steve, have come into the
business to work with their father. Brancato’s Catering has expanded and
incorporated the latest trends and technology, but all in the tradition of
excellence that the company has been known for these many years. We plan to
continue that tradition.
Brancato’s
Catering is a full service off premise catering company now over 60 years of
existence. Our catering service has the experience and knowledge necessary
to cater for any size or type of event from sit down to buffet to cocktail
parties. We have a very wide selection of menus available to cater to all
types of taste. We were recently voted the number one caterer in Kansas City
by Squire Magazine.
